CONGRATULATIONS!

to James Nicholson who picked up his 100th career victory on 1/27/10. James is only the second Upper Moreland wrestler ever to reach the coveted century mark. With the win James also moved up to second on the Golden Bears all time win list. Not bad for a kid who started wrestling in middle school. Once again congratulations to James and his entire family!

Bolich Returns from Hershey with Hardware!!

Becomes only the 3rd wrestler in UM history to medal @ States

Congratulations to John Bolich on placing 7th in the 160 lb. weight class at the 2010 AAA Pa. State High School Wrestling Championships in Hershey!! John is now only the 3rd wrestler in Upper Moreland school history to win a medal at States and has a chance to become the school's only 2-time State medal winner as he is only a junior!! Congratulations once again to John and his entire family from all of us!!!

Upper Moreland 2010 SOL Co-Champions

As much as they tried to get the match in, there was just no reasonable way to get it done. With back to back blizzards, skin issues and both teams already in post-season mode it was the logical thing to do. So the Golden Bears will share the 2010 Suburban One League, American Conference Title with the Eagles. Both teams had very solid seasons and both have some great wrestlers and either way it would have been a very close and exciting match that's for sure. So the Golden Bears' quest for their first ever outright SOL, American Conference Title will have to wait, but with 18 wrestlers moving up from the middle school program, which by the way has just won it's second straight SOL Title, I don't think the wait will be too long! So congratulations to the entire team on a fantastic regular season and go get 'em in the post season boys!

Golden Bears Win the Octorara Duals

The Golden Bears defeated Conestoga Valley, Manheim Township, Bethpage NY, Perkiomen Valley and host Octorara en route to the Tournament Title. Seniors, Jake Ellis and Tim Santry, Juniors Will Dill and John Bolich and Freshman Bobby Harmon each went 5-0 for the tournament. Congratulations to everyone & check out the

Santry Returns from Hershey with Hardware!!!

Upper Moreland Sophomore Tim Santry became only the second State Medalist in school history as he

placed 8th in the 112lb. weight class at the 2008 PIAA Pennsylvania State Wrestling Championships at the Giant Center in Hershey.

Eric McCoy was the last and only Golden Bear wrestler to ever medal at States way back in 1978.

AWESOME JOB TIM !!!!!!!!
