UMMS Wins 2nd Straight SOL Title!
The Hatters came out looking to play spoiler, but the Golden Bears were not going to let this one slip through their fingertips, no way. They'd worked too hard all year and were bound and determined to accomplish the goals they had set for themselves at the beginning of the season. Keith Valley though, jumped out to an early 24-15 lead until Ben Swartz's inspiring come from behind pin brought the Bears to within 3 points but more importantly, fired up the entire Upper Moreland bench so much so, that the Golden Bears went on to win 8 of the final 10 bouts and won the match 64-33 to Claim their second straight Suburban One League, American Conference Championship Title! Upper Moreland also finished the dual meet season undefeated with a perfect record of 8-0!

District Duals - Bears Move on...
Upper Moreland wrestled their way through the first two rounds at District Duals and now find themselves in the quarterfinals. The Golden Bears defeated Pottsgrove 48-27 which was really no surprise as UM had already faced and beaten the Falcons a couple weeks earlier by a similar score. In the next round though, the Golden Bears would face an unfamilier foe and a higher seeded (#6) Spring-Ford Rams team. Upper Moreland wrestled tough and beat the Rams 33-24 to pull off the upset. The road ahead does not get any easier as the Bears' next opponent will be the #3 seed Boyertown Bears to take place on Friday, February 5th at Pottstown high school. Start time is 6:00 p.m. Go get 'em boys!!!!!
